BM: Walk In The Rain

Ugh... Not exactly creative block...

Fri Sep 19, 2008, 11:09 PM
Well, I haven't uploaded another Bloodstone Manor page in over a week. Not because I don't have any written and typed up. I have at least another fifty that don't need revision sequentially coming up, plus much more further on down the road. The problem is that at the rate I was previously uploading, 3 pages a day average (or basically 90 pages a month... Although it actually was a tad lower than that), I would reach the end of my sequentially stuff shortly, and my buffer would be gone. When I started uploading the pages I not only had a lot to upload, but I also had a muse watching over me, letting me write and revise a whole lot more. That muse has stopped inspiring more Bloodstone Manor pages.

I have the basic outline for all of the chapters/arcs, but not all of the individual pages. So, instead I'm going to scale back a little to allow myself more time to advance the script. I want to update regularly (even if I don't have it illustrated right now), but I need to keep a buffer in order to do so. Anyway, I plan on uploading four pages a week, and I will probably continue to upload at that rate until I have the series typed all on my computer. At that time I'll be uploading a page a day.

As I had said above, my creative influences and drives have stopped inspiring more Bloodstone Manor pages. However, having mild A.D.D. (Or A.D.H.D., because that term wasn't common when I was diagnosed, so I'm not sure which it is technically), I get what is called a Flight of Ideas. My symptoms aren't so bad that I can't typically concentrate on a task, but I basically multitask and think of additional stuff, usually pertaining to my stories. I have about 60 various series (about a third novels, short stories and novel series, and the rest comics, manga and graphic novels), a couple musicals, some random songs and a bit more that I've currently got some work done on. Unfortunately I can't type it all up due to time constraints, but Bloodstone Manor was the first of several that I started uploading to my computer. My creative influences lately, however, have driven me to work on a couple songs; a musical I've currently titled, "Till death do we start"; one of my favorite novels (fifty pages previously written, the first in a series); and another manga series I've currently code-named "Metal Mage". No, it's not a FMA fan series, but it was influenced by and does reference from A LOT of different works, including FMA, Negima, various Neil Gaimen and Larry Niven works, and countless hours of reading and research. Right now I have little script to it, but I'm getting a lot os inspiration for it lately.

That's pretty much the major news related to my online status and why I've been getting slower on updating. I'll be putting up the four BM pages for this week as well as the four for next week up on Tuesday or Wednesday. I'd do it sooner, but I'm a tad preoccupied with work and various other things, and those are my two days off. As far as work goes, yes I still work at Hell-Mart. I've actually been interviewed for two supervisor positions, but the manager in charge of making the decision is indecisive and slow to action. So, stuck waiting to find out. I hope I get one of the two since even though I'd most likely have to work mornings instead, it'd mean more money. Which I could use. :XD:

Webcomic I'm linking to tonight is F.O.G. Club: [link] Just read it. It was the third webcomic I had ever read. The art is decent in the beginning and gets better as the story moves along. It's really a fan comic of a whole lot of things, but it has it's own plot and could stand alone even if one hasn't read or seen the works to which the comic references. I'm not going to give away any of the plot, just read it. Now. ... What are you still doing here?! Go! [link]

BTW. Is anyone who watches me on Second Life? Let me know! I'm having a lot of fun with it!

Grin on, loyal lackies, and I'll catch you on the flipside soon.

Working mostly. XD Preparing to move to Seattle... Doing a lot of my writing and typing up old works... XD As you can see from the delay in response, I don't check dA as much as I used to. XD

Yeah. :D I've been keeping it in my "Top 10 places to live when I grow up" list since I was about 7. XD And it just kept going up in rank (even though I never formally ranked them... -_- ... XD), and the most feasible for several reasons. :D
